BASIC INFORMATION

This case is known as EEOC v Central Transport, Civil Action No. 2:26-cv-02201-JJT pending in the United States District Court for the District of Arizona. The persons who sued is called the “Plaintiff,” and the company sued, Central Transport LLC, is known as the “Defendant” in this case.

The EEOC alleges that Central Transport engaged in a nationwide pattern or practice of sex discrimination in violation of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, as amended, by failing or refusing to hire qualified female truck driver applicants because of their sex. Central Transport denies these allegations but has agreed to resolve these claims. The settlement provides for some monetary relief to eligible female truck driver applicants who were denied employment by Central Transport during the relevant time period of January 1, 2016, to the present.

To be eligible for a monetary award under this settlement, you must meet all of the following criteria:

(a)  You are female;

(b)  You sought employment as a truck driver with Central Transport by submitting a paper or electronic application at any terminal or facility nationwide during the Relevant Time Period (January 1, 2016 to present);

(c)  You had a CDL A (Commercial Driver’s License, Class A) license at the time of your application; and

(d)  You were denied employment as a truck driver by Central Transport at least once during the Relevant Time Period.

Settlement Payment. By timely completing and submitting a Claim Form, you may be eligible for a settlement payment.  If the EEOC determines that you are an Eligible Payee, you will be sent a release to sign and you will receive a monetary award.

All Claim Forms will be reviewed by the Settlement Administrator for completeness and plausibility. Additional information may be requested from any claimant.  If the required information is not provided in the time required, the claim will be considered invalid and will not be paid.

If you do nothing, you will be bound by the Settlement if the Court approves it, you will not get any payment from the Settlement, you will not be able to start or proceed with a lawsuit, or be part of any other lawsuit against the Released Parties about the settled claims in this case at any time.

You can update your address when you submit a claim form.  If your address changes after you submit your claim form, you can email the Settlement Administrator at CentralTransportSettlement@noticeadministrator.com to update your address providing your name, claim number, old address, and new address.
